3" Anthurium papillilaminum

Anthurium papillilaminum is a beautiful, velvet-leaf species known for its dramatic, heart-shaped foliage and rich, dark coloration. The leaves develop a plush, velvety surface with pronounced veins.

Endemic to the Chocó region of Panama, this species thrives in warm, humid, shaded rainforest conditions. Provide bright, indirect light, high humidity, and a well-draining, airy mix. It appreciates consistent moisture but should never sit in a soggy substrate. 

Fun fact: The species gets its name from the tiny papillae—microscopic bumps—that give the leaf surface its signature velvety texture.
